In order to use the phone viewer your mobile device needs to be able to access the internet. Some phones that claim to be internet compatible are in reality restricted to a specific site or sites supported by a phone company: these phones are not capable of viewing your cameras.
Phones do not necessarily have to be third generation (3G) to have full internet access, but nearly all 3G phones do. Our viewer software is written in Java, which in theory is supported on most newer phones, but phone software is notoriously riddled with inconsistencies and it is difficult to make generalised comments.
However, all 3G phones and many others can receive emails with pictures attached. This functionality should work in all areas of the UK. It enables viewing of a snapshot of the event from your phone.
